Although the details on the backs of these 'Blue Back' cards had to be tilted into 'landscape' mode in order to read them, they are still my favourite set from A&BC.
The set was made up of 2 different series.
Series 1 consisted of card numbers 1 to 131 and series 2 consisted of card numbers 132 to 263.

Personal Favourite
Number 182
The first checklist that was issued stated that the card numbers reached 264 but the second checklist stated that they would only reach 261. The unusual thing about this was that only number 263 was ever issued and that 262-George Armstrong and 264-Billy Ingham from the 264 version were never printed. Another card 235-John Craven was also missed on the printing presses - he must have been spending too much time on Newsround!!
The Marvin Hinton card is numbered 263, so there is no card number 235 in the set. The cards in the table below from the '264 version' e.g. Giles, Macari, Holton etc. are not known to exist.

Number 241
The John Toshack card has two
versions, a full body shot and a head and shoulders only shot.
The two cards have different text and cartoon captions on the back. the
'head and shoulders' card has a section 'Goals', which appears on the rear
of the 1st series cards but not the 2nd series cards, suggesting that the
John Toshack 'head and shoulders' card was originally intended as a Series 1
card.
