A more "regimental" style card with straight lines and neat borders appeared in 1972. This 'Orange/Red Backs' set is not one of the more appealing sets that A&BC produced, in my humble opinion. A coin was again required to rub up an answer on the back of the cards.
The set was made up of 2 series.
Series 1 consisted of card numbers 1 to 109 and series 2 consisted of card numbers 110 to 219.

The 219 version checklist is
the later edition as it has the words 'Revised checklist' on the back and
includes players from the promoted clubs from 1971/72 season (Norwich City
and Birmingham City) and removing some players from the relegated clubs
(Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town). The updated checklist also has
the spelling corrected on card 204 from Malcolm McDonald to Malcolm
MacDonald, and card 213 Jack Witham corrected to Whitham.
It is not thought that any of the cards which appeared on the 218 version
checklist and which were replaced on the 219 version were ever printed i.e.
you will not find a card number 112 with Terry Dolan.

There are two versions of the Roger Morgan card - one shows his head and shoulders only, while the other shows the head and torso.
