A nice colourful set of 101 cards with a flag shaped banner in the bottom left hand corner stating the team name. The back of the cards had a football quiz, which when rubbed with a coin, would reveal a "Magic Answer". This set is generally referred to as 'Yellow Backs'.
The set was made up of 2 series.
Series 1 consisted of card numbers 1 to 54 and Series 2 consisted of card numbers 55 to 101.

Although I haven't come across any particular variations of actual player images or text on the back of these cards, it seems to be that a number of the cards in the set have been produced with no football logo beside the team name. I suppose this could be called a "Variation" of sorts. The cards which have been spotted that do not have a football logo are 2, 12, 19, 25, 32, 40, 44, 47, 48, 63, 65, 77, 78, 79, 82, 83, 86, 87, 88, 89, 91, 92, 93, 95, 96, 100 and 101.
However number 71 (the only true variant) is known to have both a football and non-football version although I am still on the lookout for it, in order to add it to my collection - fingers crossed!
